What is MinnesotaCare (MNCare)?

MinnesotaCare is low-cost health care insurance for those living and working in Minnesota. If you qualify, you pay a low monthly fee depending on your income and family size. Learn more about MinnesotaCare.

Who can get MinnesotaCare (MNCare)?

  • Pregnant women
  • Families with children under 21 years old (or up to 25 years old for some full-time students)
  • Adults without children

How can I find out if I am able to receive MinnesotaCare (MNCare)?
To qualify for MinnesotaCare, it depends on your income and family size. Also, you must:

  • Live in Minnesota
  • Have a Social Security number (or willing to apply for one)
  • Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. legal resident
  • Not have had insurance for the past 4 months
  • Not have health insurance through your employer

How do I apply for MinnesotaCare?
Step 1: You must fill out an application.
